Cassandra Ulph

Cassandra Ulph (2003) went on from the Hall to complete a Masters in English Literature at Leeds University, where she stayed to write a PhD, supervised by fellow Aularian Vivien Jones.

She successfully gained her Ph.D in October 2012, with a thesis entitled 'Frances Burney's Musical Inheritance: Performance, Professionalism and Feminine Identity in Eighteenth-Century Culture'.

Cassie has taught at Leeds University. She was the administrator on 'creative Communities, an AHRC network project, and she organised a conference for July 2013. 

Curreently she is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of York, where she has a blog. She is also the treasurer of the Burney Society (UK).
