Welcome to St Edmund Hall...

The Governing Body of St Edmund Hall is delighted to announce the election of Professor Katherine Willis as Principal to succeed Professor Keith Gull on 1 October 2018.

Professor Willis is currently Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, on secondment from a Professorship in Biodiversity in the Department of Zoology, University of Oxford. Professor Stuart Ferguson, Vice-Principal, says that Professor Willis, having previously been on Governing Bodies of four Oxford and Cambridge colleges, most recently at Merton, will bring a breadth of experience which will allow the Hall to build on the many changes and developments that have occurred under Keith Gull’s Principalship. The Governing Body is looking forward enthusiastically to working with her over the next years.

Professor Willis said: “I am delighted to have been elected to this exciting position. St Edmund Hall has always had a reputation as a friendly, forward-looking and high-achieving community. I look forward enormously to working with everyone in the College on the next phase of its history.” Read more.
