Instruments of Time & Truth Masterclass and Concert: Saturday 13 February

Thursday, 28 January 2016

The second masterclass run by musicians from the Instruments of Time & Truth at St Edmund Hall will take place on Saturday 13 February, and all are welcome to come along and listen.

The masterclass, for students across the University of Oxford, will take place in the College's Old Dining Hall from 2 to 5pm led by Pavlo Beznosiuk (violin), Christopher Bucknall (harpsichord) and Richard Boothby (cello). It will be followed by a tutors’ concert at 6 to 7pm, featuring baroque violin sonatas. Tickets (available on the door or online here) are £15 for the masterclass and concert, or £10 for just the concert. Student tickets are available for £5. All include a glass of wine.

There are still some places available for the masterclass and any students interested in participating should contact Chris Watson, Director of Music at St Edmund Hall.

The Instruments of Time & Truth is a new period instrument ensemble, which aims to present world-class performances of baroque and classical music in Oxford and the surrounding region. Its first partnership with the College was in November, with harpsichordist Christopher Bucknall and cellist Joe Crouch coaching on continuo playing in Purcell.
