Hall Fellow Nicholas Cronk was one of the guests discussing Voltaire's literary classic Candide on BBC Radio 4 this week.
Nicholas, who is Professor of French Literature and Director of the Voltaire Foundation at the University of Oxford, joined David Wootton and Caroline Warman on Melvyn Bragg's popular In Our Time programme to discuss Voltaire's biting satire whose targets include bad literature, extremist religion and the vanity of kings and politicians.
