Our graduate accommodation is situated in Norham St Edmund (NSE), in a highly desirable area of North Oxford just a short walk across the University parks from College and the heart of the University. You can opt for self-catering, or take all your meals in the main College Dining Hall where our award-winning chef prepares top quality food that's excellent value for money.

If you're a first-year graduate student who's new to St Edmund Hall, we'll do our utmost to guarantee your accommodation. Once you've met all your conditions of your offer of admission, you'll be eligible for room allocation on a first-come, first-served basis.

17, 19 and 26 Norham Gardens and 1 & 2 Crick Road

Four attractive Victorian properties housing about 70 single study-bedrooms. All the rooms have washbasins and there is one bathroom for every three to four rooms. The houses have large, well-fitted kitchens, laundry facilities and a common room with a television, a piano (a new Hoffmann upright), a pool table and newspapers. Also in leafy North Oxford, Brockhues Lodge has nine en-suite study bedrooms which are allocated on a discretionary basis to the holders of some of our more prestigious scholarships. (Left: Kitchen in Brockhues Lodge)

Married and family accommodation

We have nine small flats for graduates with partners. Situated in the graduate complex in Norham Manor, they are regrettably unsuitable for children. Each flat has an open-plan living room and kitchen, with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

If you have children, we have a further two flats and a house. Please note that there are no flats/houses available for graduates starting in 2018-19 due to refurbishment work.

Duration of accommodation contracts

All students will be sent a Licence Agreement to complete which gives you a choice of staying during term time only (58 days plus any extra days) or for 44 continuous weeks. Find out more about current accommodation fees here. Accommodation fees are added to your battels statement for each term and are payable by the Friday of 1st Week.

Meals in College

All students living in St Edmund Hall accommodation will automatically be charged for a minimum number of meals, even if you choose not to eat them. For all rooms in NSE, this will be 24 dinners each term. Please see our Meals at the Hall page for further information.
