About the China Growth Centre

Launched in September 2009, the China Growth Centre (CGC) is an evidence-based research centre that can bring together and challenge the views about China on economic issues that have global implications.

The CGC conducts, coordinates and disseminates original research on the economy of China and analyzes its continuing growth prospects. There is also an emphasis on the role of legal and institutional reforms in China’s marketization process. Finally, there is a strong focus on dissemination of the findings of the CGC, so that the research can inform policymakers and others keen to understand this new force in the global economy.

Director: Dr Linda Yueh

Research Director: Professor John Knight
