An afternoon of talks and interactive exhibitions designed to showcase some of the wide range of research currently being undertaken at the College, as well as giving members of all three common rooms, staff and alumni a chance to interact and learn about research across all the disciplines.

The Expo is open to all members of the College community: members of all three common rooms, staff and alumni (plus their families / guests).

Timetable

12:30-3pm - explore the Lab, the Salon and the Studio

  • Interactive displays and experiments in the Lab (Doctorow Hall) - with Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences and Medical Sciences focus
  • Hands-on demonstrations and exhibits in the Salon (Old Dining Hall) - with a Humanities and Social Sciences theme
  • 'Interim' - an art show in which our undergraduate Fine Art students respond to pictures by modern masters in the Hall's collection - in the Studio (SCR coffee room)

12:30-1:30pm - Teddy Talks I and II - book here

1:45-2:45pm - Teddy Talks III and IV - book here

Each session of Teddy Talks includes four short (10 minute) accessible talks from SCR and MCR members about an aspect of their research, along similar lines to TED talks. Talks will take place in the Chapel and Pontigny Room. Find the full details of topics and speakers here.

3:15pm - Pitch Your Research challenge final (Wolfson Hall)

The final of our new 'Pitch Your Research' competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Wolfson Hall. Find out about a wide range of topics via these 3-minute pitches.

4-5pm - Teddy Hall round-table debate (Wolfson Hall)

Submit your questions for the panel of six (drawn from all three common rooms) to discuss, on the subject of: '2016: What does it mean for Higher Education in the UK?'
