Dr Charlotte Sweeney

Domestic Bursar

Charlotte achieved a BSc in Chemistry and Environmental Science from Sussex University, an MBA and a PhD from the Open University and has a wealth of experience in university administration and finance. As Domestic Bursar, she is responsible for the operation and efficient running of the estate and domestic services of the College.

Charlotte joined us in 2018 from the Materials Department, University of Oxford where she held the position of Head of Administration and Finance responsible for the support and professional management staff delivering Finance, Research Support, Health and Safety, Buildings/Facilities and IT. In addition, she has over fifteen years’ experience in a range of universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Liverpool, Uppsala and Open) as well as two years at RBG Kew and commercial experience from Marks and Spencer. Charlotte lived for nine years in Sweden during which time she set up and ran her own consulting company, working as a consultant technical writer for companies such as Siemens and General Electric.
