Matthew Amengual is Associate Professor in International Business at the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School.

He studies how to promote economic development that is both equitable and sustainable.  Matthew is currently conducting research on improving labour standards in global supply chains and on direct contestation between firms and communities in the mining industry. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Industrial & Labor Relations Review, Management Science, American Sociological Review, and World Development. Matthew’s first book, Politicized Enforcement in Argentina, was published by Cambridge University Press.
