Dr Puneet Dhaliwal

College Lecturer in Politics

Puneet holds a DPhil from Oxford in political theory, having written his thesis on cosmopolitan democracy. Prior to that, he completed an MPhil (with Distinction) in Politics: Political Theory at University College, Oxford and a BA (First Class Honours) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics at the University of Warwick.

Puneet’s research interests encompass critical social theory (especially radical democracy), European and Latin American social movements, postcolonial and decolonial thought, and the role of race in global justice theory. He has taught on various areas including Prelims (Theorizing the Democratic State), Theory of Politics, Marx and Marxism, and Sociological Theory.
