Rebecca Smithson
Access & Outreach Coordinator
Rebecca joined the Hall in October 2022.
St Edmund Hall primarily works with schools and colleges in its link areas of Leicester, Leicestershire, Derby, Derbyshire and Rutland. Rebecca regularly travels to visit schools in these areas, and also hosts visits to Oxford from schools, colleges and individual prospective applicants.
In addition, Rebecca runs the College’s Student Ambassador Scheme, encouraging current students to share their experiences and affection for Teddy Hall with visiting pupils and prospective applicants. Rebecca can provide training, materials, and support to any current students who wish to speak at their former schools about Oxford, Oxbridge or other university applications.

Rebecca recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in French and Linguistics. She was a JCR Access & Equal Opportunities Representative as a student and looks forward to expanding on this work at St Edmund Hall. Outside of work, Rebecca is a keen drummer and enjoys learning languages, including Italian.
