Accounts Assistant

Full Time

This is a key role working within a busy department assisting the College Accountant and the Deputy College Accountant in the smooth running of battels, debt collection, nominal ledger reconciliations, management accounts, month end preparation, fund management and financial legislative compliance.  The Accounts Assistant also provides cover for other staff members, in particular purchase ledger, sales invoices and cash book duties.  This is a fantastic opportunity working in historic and picturesque surroundings located just off the High Street in Oxford and close to buses, shops and cafes.  The train station is only a 20-minute walk away. The post is predominately office based although we are able to offer one day per week working from home following induction.

The successful applicant will have previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, knowledge of accounting principles and procedures have excellent communication, written and analytical skills and be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
