Alumni trip to Pontigny, France

Aularians and a guest are invited to our inaugural alumni trip to Pontigny, France, to coincide with the Choir tour, 12-13 September 2026.

Please note that the ticket price includes the events listed in the itinerary, as well as a daily return journey from Chablis to the respective events in Noyers and Pontigny. The ticket price does not include accommodation or travel to Chablis from the UK.

Aularians and guests will be responsible for providing their own transport to the region, and accommodation for the weekend. We are encouraging alumni to base themselves in Chablis for the weekend. Transport between Chablis, Pontigny and Noyers will be provided for the events listed in the itinerary. Our team will propose a list of suggested hotels and travel advice for registrants, so that you can co-ordinate with your fellow Aularians.

Tickets are priced at £450 per person, and guests are welcome. There are a limited number of subsidised young alumni tickets available, priced at £350, available to Aularians under 35 only on a first come basis. All ticket sale proceeds go towards the cost of the trip and Music at the Hall..

Saturday 12 September

Midday: Three course Aularian lunch with wine in the medieval town of Noyers

Afternoon: Guided Tour of Noyers

16:30: Choir of St Edmund Hall Concert in Église Notre-Dame de Noyers

18:00: Drinks reception with the Choir

Transport between Chablis and Noyers provided

Sunday 13 September

Morning: A chance to explore the local weekly market in Chablis

Midday: Wine tasting with local charcuterie and cheeses at La Chablisienne

Afternoon: Immersive audio tour of Pontigny Abbey and gardens, including the chance to see St Edmund’s final resting place and shrine above the high altar

15:00: Open rehearsal and discussion with Director of Music, Carlos Rodríguez Otero

17:00: Choir of St Edmund Hall Concert in Pontigny Abbey

Evening: Post-concert drinks reception with the Choir, followed by Aularian dinner in La Maison du Jardinier, the Abbey’s restaurant

Transport between Chablis and Pontigny provided
