Speaker and Topic

Dr Rhys Llewellyn Thomas on ‘Impacts of New Health Information on Health Behaviours of Spouses’

The talk will focus on Rhys’ recent paper which analyses the spillover effect of new health information on the lifestyle behaviours of partners. There is evidence that both the individual receiving the health information and their spouse change their behaviour due to health information. However, when we explore the mechanisms that drive this result in the spouse, we find a concerning result that suggests that health information itself has no impact on a partners’ behaviour.
