Teddy Talk: Ian Smith (1972, Geography)

Event

All Aularians are invited to join this Teddy Talk organised and hosted by the St Edmund Hall Association.

About the event

Aularian Ian Smith (1972, Geography) on the NHS and Ministry of Defence

Ian Smith (1972, Geography) is the Chair of the NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System which operates all NHS services in that county. He is also an operating partner with Trilantic, a private equity group, and a non-executive director of Strategic Command in the Ministry of Defence. In addition to Ian’s MA from Oxford, has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a recent BSc in Psychology and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) society.

We are delighted that Ian will join us for a Teddy Talk where he will speak on two topics:

  1. What’s wrong with the NHS and how can we fix it?
  2. Where does British Defence need to go in the next 10 years?

Bookings for this event have now closed. Please email us at aularianconnect@seh.ox.ac.uk if you would like to join, so we can send you the Zoom link.
