Bonding and Structure in Materials: a celebration of the life and work of Professor David Pettifor CBE, FRS

The David Pettifor Scientific Symposium will be a two-day scientific meeting taking place on 10 to 11 July at St Anne’s College, with an optional afternoon of informal memorial talks and a dinner. The event will pay tribute to the many achievements of Professor David Pettifor, a brilliant scientist who sadly passed away last October. David was the Isaac Wolfson Professor in the Department of Materials, and held a Professorial Fellowship at St Edmund Hall. He was appointed to an Emeritus Fellowship at the College in 2010.
The cost for attending the scientific meeting is just £10 (for both days), which includes lunch and refreshments both days but excluding the dinner. The programme of talks covers a wide range of topics, and more information about the speakers and their titles can be found here.
