The Front Quad was a hive of activity earlier today as filming took place for Endeavour, ITV’s popular prequel to Inspector Morse. Actors Shaun Evans (Morse) and Roger Allam (DI Fred Thursday) acted out scenes for the detective drama in the Quad and by the Lodge for what will be the fourth and final film in Series 6 of Endeavour, which is due to air probably in February 2019.

The drama is set in 1969, so the Lodge and tunnel area at the entrance to College underwent some interesting dressing – with the notice boards covered in period notices and the Lodge getting a mini makeover with lamps and a vintage telephone. Queen’s Lane and the entrance to Teddy Hall also featured yesterday when a scene was filmed with Morse and a Ford Zephyr.

The Hall last featured in Endeavour back in 2012, with filming also taking place for Lewis (the other Inspector Morse spin-off) in 2014. St Edmund Hall was renamed as St Sebastian’s for Lewis, but will feature in this new series as Garstang College.
