Organ Scholars play a key role in the musical life of most Oxford colleges. In this new video, Viraj, the Organ Scholar at St Edmund Hall, explores what the role involves and explains some of the benefits of being an Organ Scholar. He also discusses the application and audition process and offers some practical advice.
The video will be particularly useful for prospective Organ Scholarship applicants, with a detailed exploration of the responsibilities and perks of the role, and plenty of useful information on how it reconciles with the academic aspect of a student’s life. Beyond this, Viraj also talks about the practical side of the application process, offering tips on how organ beginners can gain playing experience.
