Aneesh is the Assistant Junior Dean at Queen’s Lane

Having completed his undergraduate and clinical studies at Cambridge, Aneesh worked as a Junior Doctor for two years. Following this, he finished a Masters at Oxford, and is currently undertaking a DPhil in Ovarian Cancer Genomics.

His research involves growing simplified versions of organs called ‘organoids’ and mutating them into cancer, to study how the cancer initiates. He aims to develop a blood test to detect ovarian cancer before it fully develops.

He is partial to a good game of chess, and is a big fan of tortoises. As a member of the Decanal and Welfare team, he is very approachable, and you should not hesitate to contact him if you have any queries or concerns!
