Associate Lecturer in Medicine

Bob Yang is an Associate Lecturer in Medicine at St Edmund Hall, specialising in surgical teaching.

Mr Bob Yang is a consultant urologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and a partner at The Forbury Clinic. He is a recognised specialist in functional urology, with particular expertise in managing complex and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), and male and female incontinence.

Mr Yang is the clinical lead for urinary incontinence and complex UTIs at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. His leadership extends internationally, as he serves as the Director for the Male Incontinence course for both the American Urological Association and the International Continence Society and is a speaker for the Royal Society of Medicine on Urinary Tract Infections and Immunomodulation.

A graduate of Imperial College London with first-class honours and five academic prizes, Mr Yang’s surgical training took place in prestigious institutions across Oxford and Wessex and he continues to serve as an associate lecturer for Oxford University.

Mr Yang’s groundbreaking research on a new sublingual UTI vaccine and innovative male incontinence devices has earned him international acclaim and numerous awards at global conferences. He is also the lead editor for two academic textbooks on urinary tract infections and male incontinence, published by Springer-Nature.
