Professor Bob Yang

Professor Bob Yang is a Professor of Practice in Urology, a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, and a Partner at The Forbury Clinic. Serving as the clinical lead for Functional Urology in Berkshire, UK, he oversees one of the UK’s most extensive services for complex UTIs and incontinence. His clinical expertise encompasses the specialist treatment of complex UTIs, advanced pelvic floor rejuvenation, and comprehensive care for both male and female incontinence.

A recognised international authority, Professor Yang has served as the Course Director for male incontinence and UTIs for the American Urological Association (AUA), the International Continence Society (ICS), and the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU). He is an international speaker and surgical proctor for functional urology, specialising in advanced procedures including the Adjustable Trans-Obturator Male System (ATOMS), artificial sphincters, urethral bulking, autologous sling surgery, and complex UTI management.

A graduate of Imperial College London with first-class honours and five academic prizes, Professor Yang’s surgical training took place in prestigious institutions across Oxford and Wessex and he continues to serve as an associate lecturer for Oxford University.

Beyond his clinical and academic work, he is a featured speaker and expert analyst for the BBC, the Royal Society of Medicine, and national bladder health charities. He also is an invited expert for the UK government on UTIs via the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group.
