After reading Geography at St Edmund Hall, Chris joined the Royal Marines Commandos, completing Young Officer training and earning his green beret in 1995. He went on to serve in a variety of roles as a Troop Commander and Unit Training Officer.
In 2001, Chris and his wife Natasha (SEH 1993) moved to the United States to study for their MBAs at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Two years later, they co-founded Fetch Inc. (DBA Petplan), a pet insurance provider which they grew into one of North America’s largest and most trusted pet insurers. The company’s success was recognised with awards including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, before its acquisition by Warburg Pincus in 2019.
Since selling Fetch, Chris and Natasha have been traveling widely with their two sons, Ben (18) and Henry (7), while continuing to explore new ventures and interests. Chris is currently on the board of Bobi, an AI-powered venture that re-imagines the car purchase and finance industries.
