Christopher Orchard

Christopher Orchard (1989, graduate) is Professor of English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches Shakespeare, Early Modern British Literature, Transatlantic Studies, and Theory.

He has published articles on Marlowe, Shakespeare and Jonson in the 1640s and 1650s and Katherine Philips. He is currently writing a book on theatre and political amnesia in the Civil War and Commonwealth period.

While at Oxford, he completed a DPhil entitled Politics and the Literary Imagination, 1642-1660, in 1994.
