Clare Hutton
Clare Hutton (1995, graduate) is a lecturer in English at Loughborough University, and specialises in twentieth century Irish literature.
She has published widely, including the editorship of The Irish Book in the Twentieth Century, (Irish Academic Press, 2004) and The Oxford History of the Irish Book Volume 5: The Irish Book in English, 1891-2000 (Oxford University Press, 2007).
She teaches a wide range of topics in the curriculum, including Victorian literature, modernism, contemporary and post-colonial literatures.
As a book historian, she has a keen interest in literary theory, especially topics such as textual transmission, the cultures of publishing and editing, the ways in which forms affect meaning, hermeneutics, historicisms and reception theories.
