Dr Dahab Aglan
Early Career Teaching and Research Fellow in Economics
Dr Dahab is a Teaching and Research Fellow in Economics at the University of Oxford, St Edmund Hall.
Her research focus is on evaluating public policies and interventions targeting the welfare and integration of displaced populations affected by conflict and climate change. She is particularly interested in examining the impact of these policies on food security and inequalities of access to resources, especially in the Middle East. She uses observational data and field experiments to address her research questions.
Her research includes empirically evaluating the nationwide camp closure policy across Iraq and the welfare of conflict-displaced populations, a training intervention targeting the livelihoods of climate-displaced women in Mosul and the integration of conflict-displaced populations in Erbil. She received her PhD in Economics from University of London – Royal Holloway College, where she also obtained an MSc. in Finance and an MSc. in Economics.
Dr Dahab’s research interests are in development economics, in particular, she works on conflict, migration and social cohesion.
Dr Dahab teaches Microeconomics subjects at St Edmund Hall.
