Luke Maw

Outreach and Admissions Manager

Luke works in the Admissions Office and leads the College’s admissions, outreach, access and student recruitment programmes.

He is responsible for the evolution of the College’s outreach programmes, and provides support shaping the College’s strategy with regards to access, equality and diversity. He also leads the Careers Development Programme and uses students’ examination performance data to monitor progression through their course, allowing interventions that can help provide tailored academic support to be identified and implemented

Luke leads the College’s contributions to the Oxford for East Midlands consortium, a partnership between St Edmund Hall, Lincoln College and Magdalen College which provides targeted, sustained-contact programmes in schools across the East Midlands.

Luke joined St Edmund Hall in March 2016, having graduated in 2015 with a Masters in Physics at the University of Nottingham. He previously worked in the Widening Participation department there. Luke is a keen (but by his own admission, unfit) cyclist who occasionally cycles very long distances and then regrets it wholeheartedly. He is more at home spending time with friends in one of Oxford’s many historic pubs.
