Luke Maw

Student Recruitment Manager

Luke works in the Admissions Office and leads the College’s outreach and access programmes.

Primarily, this involves working with schools and colleges in St Edmund Hall’s link areas: Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Leicester, Leicestershire, Peterborough, Portsmouth, Rutland and Southampton. Luke regularly travels to visit schools in these areas, and hosts visits to Oxford from schools, colleges and individual prospective applicants.

Luke also runs the College’s Student Ambassador Scheme, and can provide training, materials, and support to any current students who wish to speak at their former schools about Oxford, Oxbridge or other university applications.

You can contact Luke with any queries about:

  • the Student Ambassador scheme
  • Open Days
  • Family and Friends Day
  • prospectuses and other admissions materials
  • school and college visits.

Luke joined St Edmund Hall in March 2016, having graduated in 2015 with a Masters in Physics at the University of Nottingham. He previously worked in the Widening Participation department there.

Luke is a keen (but by his own admission, unfit) cyclist. Recently he participated in the 80 mile Bike Oxford Sportive, and hopes to take part in more in the future.
