Reverend Dr Mariama Ifode-Blease

College Chaplain

Reverend Dr Mariama Ifode-Blease is the College Chaplain and joined the Hall in February 2024.

Mariama is delighted to serve the community of Teddy Hall, supporting the spiritual wellbeing and welfare of students and staff alike. She works part-time in church ministry, combining this role with being a part-time Associate Priest at St James’s, Piccadilly. Beyond the Church of England, Mariama works at the Football Association (FA) and is Co-Lead of Welfare and Safeguarding of the England Women’s Teams.

Prior to ordination, Mariama held leadership roles in secondary and tertiary education, the charity sector and community outreach. She is a modern linguist, having completed her degrees at the University of St Andrews and University of Cambridge. Mariama is a Fulbright Scholar, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a qualified career guidance professional. Committed to equity and inclusivity, Mariama loves to champion and empower others to fully flourish and thrive.
