Sam White

Director of Catering

Sam White is the Director of Catering at St Edmund Hall.

Sam joined us as Executive Head Chef in November 2022, before becoming Director of Catering in June 2025. He has worked as a chef for over 15 years, following in the footsteps of his father and grandmother. From his first day as a chef in a central Oxford hotel, Sam knew that it was his passion and what he wanted to do.

Sam has travelled extensively in Australia, Southeast Asia, and Europe, and has picked up many culinary skills and concepts along the way. His travelling can clearly be seen in his daily menu here at Teddy Hall. Sam has also worked in Rosette-awarded restaurants in Brighton and 5-star hotels in Perth.
