Aularians celebrate 40th Anniversary New York Dinner

3 Dec 2025

At the end of November, St Edmund Hall celebrated the 40th anniversary of the annual New York Dinner with drinks on Thursday 20 November hosted by Aularian James Lyle (1980, English) and dinner held at the Links Club on the Friday 21 November, hosted by Justus O’Brien (1979, PPE).

Founded in 1985 by alumnus William (Bill) R. Miller (1949, PPE), the dinner brings together US based alumni for an evening of reconnecting with old friends and hearing the latest Hall news. The Domestic Bursar provided an update on the Norham St Edmund development and  the Hall shared the latest fundraising progress with Aularians. The weekend in New York concluded with a working breakfast, hosted by St Edmund Fellow and our HALLmarks ambassador in the US, Bob Gaffey (1975, Jurisprudence).

The Principal, Senior Tutor and Director of Development then travelled to Montreal to attend a dinner to celebrate the partnership between the Hall and HEC Montréal, kindly hosted by Jean Chagnon (1971, Management Studies).

The Hall is incredibly grateful for our Aularian community in North America for continuing the legacy of Bill Miller and for its unwavering support for the HALLmarks campaign.
