The Choir of St Edmund Hall is directed by the Director of Music with assistance from the Organ Scholars. It is made up of about twenty people including eight Choral Scholars and several Choral Exhibitioners, and sings at weekly services and on other occasions. The choir is lively and very sociable. It rehearses every Saturday morning from 10:30am to 12 noon (before brunch), and on Sunday afternoon from 3.30pm. During term-time, the choir sings at the Sunday service (usually at 5:30pm) in the College Chapel, followed by Formal Hall afterwards (free of charge for choir members). The choir is also very active outside Chapel and has performed at various events over the past year including at the St Edmund’s Feast dinner and various Christmas dinners. Recent tours have seen them travel to France and Poland.

Our Organ Scholars can be contacted at organ.scholar@seh.ox.ac.uk. Students interested in joining the choir should contact Dr James Whitbourn, Director of Music (james.whitbourn@seh.ox.ac.uk).
