Degree Ceremony Dates

Taught course students due to finish their degrees in the 2023/24 academic year will be invited by the Degree Conferrals Office to attend the graduation ceremony below which is relevant to their degree.

Research students will be contacted with potential degree ceremony dates once they have submitted and will be able to book a graduation date once they have been granted Leave to Supplicate.

2024 finalists will receive an email on Monday 27 November 2023 from the University informing them of how to book their ceremony.  The actual booking window will open for St Edmund Hall students at 2pm on Tuesday 28 November, and students will have until 23:59 on Wednesday 31 January 2024 to book their place via Student Self-Service for ceremonies between July 2024 and June 2025 below.

Saturday 13 July 2024, 1:30pm – BMBCH and Research Students

Saturday 27 July 2024, 1:30pm – Undergraduates

Saturday 3 August 2024, 4.15pm – 9-month Masters students whose results will be released in June/early July, BCL/MJur

Friday 27 September 2024, 10:30am – 9-month Masters students whose results will be released in June/early July, Research Students

Friday 8 November 2024, 10:30am – Undergraduates,

Saturday 1 March 2025, 10:30am – Undergraduates

Saturday 8 March 2025, 1:30pm – 12-month Masters students whose results will be released in September/October, any Masters students whose results will be released in November/December, Research students

(Please note that the lengths of the programmes referenced are using the base programme length – that is, the default length of the programme, reflecting full-time study.  However, these programmes do include those attending in a part-time capacity).

Historic graduands (pre-June 2024) or those wishing to confer their MA in person at a ceremony will need to contact the College via college.office@seh.ox.ac.uk to request an application form for their name to be put on a ‘holding list’ for one of the above ceremonies and will be contacted anything up to 30 days before their preferred ceremony should a place become available.
